General-purpose AI can make it easy to retrieve an answer without showing whether a learner understood it. Rusty was built around a narrower idea: give children short, app-owned reading and math activities, invite them to work through an idea, and ground what comes next in what they actually completed.
Families can use structured activities, shared reading, quizzes, and games on-device. Optional voice sessions let Rusty ask a follow-up and give a child time to reason out loud. Parents manage profiles, goals, privacy choices, voice access, and progress views; Adventure Worlds change the setting without changing the underlying learning rules.
Rusty began as an adult brain-training app focused on keeping people thinking in the AI era. Version 2.0 introduced the family learning companion, and version 2.1 refined setup, parent controls, Adventure World art, iPad layouts, and purchase and restore flows. The original adult Brain Training experience remains available behind a grown-up check in the same download.

In 2026, the team expanded that idea into a parent-managed family learning companion: AI should help a learner work through an idea rather than simply supply an answer. The name and fox remain, and Classic Brain Training is still included for adults in the same app.
